Only organizations that have attained a nonprofit 501(c)(3) status may apply. Applicants must be U.S. programs.
FAQ of those who do not obtain grants
Grant applications should be no more than 10 pages in length, 12-point font, double-spaced. Documents submitted are typically in a Word document or Adobe Acrobat format.
To ensure equitable review, applicants must include the following sections for their application.
- Organization Overview
- Program Description
- Humane Education Alignment — including the Latham Steps
- Service-Learning Description — including the hands-on component and education-service link
- Impact Measurement Plan
- Partnership Description, if applicable.
In addition required documents are:
- Copies of your 501(c)(3) determination letter
- Your organization’s annual budget
- Summary page of your most recent 990 tax form
- Proposed program budget
